Mary O’Neill & Patsy Hackett were popular
winners of the Munster Mixed Foursomes held at Lakewood,
Cork, last
Sunday August 28th. 40 teams had qualified to contest this year’s
event, Cunnigar being represented by 5 teams. Leading after an opening +7, the
winners added a further +5 to close with their winning total of +12, which was tremendous
scoring on the demanding Lakewood
course. All 5 Cunnigar teams played exceptionally well, with Stella Kinsella
& John Charles taking the prize for the best second 18, scoring +6.
