William Brownes Presidents Day
William Browne held his Presidents Day on Sunday last, there was a great turn out despite the wind and rain that came during the game.
The President William Browne was delighted with the attendance and Thanked everyone for their support.

All Ireland Schoolboys Competiton.
The C.B.S Schoolboys Team of Aiden Ryan, Stephen Donovan and Luke Cummins played at Ryston, Kildare last Friday in the All Ireland Schoolboys Competiton.
They aquitted themselves very well and were a credit to their school.

Mens winter League
The 2014 Mens winter league will commence on Sunday November 2nd at 10am.
The league will run over 5 weeks.
Points will be allocated to the top 5 nett and top 5 gross scorers each week.
The best 4 weeks scores will count as your total score.

This year we are having a prize for the most hole in ones during the season. 
These must be in a Club competiton at the Cunnigar Pitch and Putt and cards must be verified by the tournament committee.
To date Patsy Hackett has now gone into the lead with 3,  Michael Havens (2), Liam Simms (2) PaddyNoonan Richard O'Leary, Ivan Fitzgerald, John Foley, John Carroll, Terence Moroney and Paul Healy have each got one in competition.
Ladies to date are Breda Foley(2) Breda O'Donnell and Sadie Ui Mhiachain, Lorraine Troy, Margaret Shanahan and Maureen Power, Jacinta O'Mahoney, Cait Mulcahy, Mary O'Neill, Corinne McGee

Bonus number this week is 43 there was no winner this week.
Pitch Marks
Leaving Pitch Marks when playing destroys the greens, it takes a lot of care and attention to keep them in pristine condition, so all members and green fees are asked to repair them and use the correct repairer when doing so.

If anyone has an hour or two Mondays to Fridays to spare to give a hand helping on the course you would be very welcome.

The gardening committee will be working on the course every Tuesday at 2.30pm any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Juveniles Graham Nagles Nett Sheild

Juveniles Competitions
The final week of  The Graham Nagle Nett Sheild saw Kyle Hackett as the winner, it was a great competiton under very windy conditions but this didn't deter the competitors.


1st place was Kyle Hackett

Presidents Day

On Friday 24th October Dungarvan C.B.S Team of Stephen Donovan, Aidan Ryan and Luke Cummins will be playing in Ryston, County Kildare for their school.

Did you know?
When a ball on the green is to be lifted, its position must be marked before it is lifted by placing an object such as a coin or marker behind the ball on the line of the putt.  A tee must not be used to mark the ball.

Munster School's Competition

Munster School's Competition
On Friday 10th October 90 Secondary School Pupils from all over Munster descended on the Cunnigar Pitch and Putt Club for the Munster Finals of the secondary schools competition.
This competition was kindly sponsored by Nevada Bob's Golf Shop in Ballincollig,County Cork.
We had 30 teams of 3 players per team.
The 1st session started at 10am with 15 teams and the 2nd group tee'd of at 1pm.  It was a shot gun start for both sessions.
The top 9 teams from Munster qualified for the National Final which takes place on Friday 24th October in Ryston Pitch and Putt County Kildare.
We would like to thank the Officials of the N.E.C for their kind remarks, thanking the ladies for keeping them fed and for their praise on the condition of our course which they said was as good as any they have seen anywhere in Ireland.
They also said they are looking forward to coming back next year for the Gents All Ireland Strokeplay Finals. 
This is great praise indeed for our loyal hard working course workers.

Dungarvan C.B.S Team of Stephen Donovan, Aidan Ryan and Luke Cummins finished 4th and we hope they bring The All Ireland Trophy back to Dungarvan.
