Thomas Frostie Maher Memorial Cup

Thomas (Frostie) Maher  Saturday

A brilliant day and a great turnout for Frosties Memorial day.  

It shows what we at the Cunnigar thought of the man.  As was stated by 'Patrick Keane' he was our go to man whether it was the greens, fairways, machines that needed to be adjusting, if it was a question about handicaps or any rule that we weren't sure of, he was able to answer straight away. 

He will always be remembered with high esteem at the Cunnigar.

The Maher family kindly donated the takings which currently stand at over 1,550 euro to the Patrick Keane stem cell fund.  

Patrick gave a great speech and thanked everyone for their generosity, and later spoke of his desire to take part in Frosties Day 2020.

We look forward to seeing you again Patrick.

This year the Maher family will kindly donate the proceeds of the Thomas (Frostie) Maher Charity game to the Patrick Keane stem cell fundraiser.

It  will be a Mixed Foursomes for our own members which was Frosties favourite game.

Names will have to be in for 4pm on Friday 23rd August, draw will be made at 6pm Friday 23rd August in the club house by the Maher family.

Tee off for this game is at 11am sharp.

There is a sheet in the club house for names who want to play in this game.

NON MEMBERS

Also on the day non members will be welcome to have a game of pitch and putt and support this worthy cause from 1pm onwards.

Kitchen Area

Due to health and safety and insurance reasons the kitchen area is now limited to committee members and workers of the Club.

Only exceptions are when a competition is being played.

Anyone not adhering to this will be dealt with by the committee.
