On a sunny sunday afternoon our juveniles played the T.F McCarthy Memorial Sheild which was kindly sponsored by Dan McCarthy (wall paper and paints), after a very nail biting shootout Oisin Hallahan took the overall best shot at the 18th flag.

Despite terrible weather conditions we had a great turnout as usual for the juveniles, 

they were all dressed up in their scary halloween costumes and had a spookily great game with a party afterwards in the club house.

On a sunny sunday afternoon our juveniles played their Scratch Cup which was kindly sponsored by Johnny Lynch (Fruit and Veg), after a very exciting game Kyle Hackett and Oisin Hallahan both were tied first with 64 with Kyle coming out on top on a count back.

We had a great turnout for this tournament and we hope to see ye all back again next week for T.F McCarthy Shootout at 12.30pm

The final week of  The Graham Nagle Nett Sheild saw Kyle Hackett as the winner, it was a great competiton under very windy conditions but this didn't deter the competitors.

TF McCarthy Memorial Juveniles Shootout

This Juveniles competition was held on Sunday, October 27th. After a great  fun competition, the winner was Stephen Donovan. The club is extremely  grateful to Dan McCarthy who sponsors this event.

In the first Juvenile Matchplay Competition of the year, the much deserved winner was Stephen Donovan, who survived some titanic games to emerge as the winner, closely followed by Kyle Hackett, who played tremendously to reach the final. In third place was Ronan Geoghegan, who, in his first year at the club, has come on leaps and bounds and was very worthy of third place.

The Juvenile Scratch Cup (Sponsored By Johnny Lynch Fruit and Veg) will take place on September 22^nd.

The Munster Schools Competition takes place on 11^th October at Riverdale Pitch and Putt Club, Nenagh, Co Tipperary. Anyone who wishes to take part is urged to contact Corinne or Patsy as practice sessions will commence as soon as practicable.

Juvenile Competitions are now being held every Sunday at 2pm, and are a great opportunity to get practice done for the Schools competition.

Joe Harte emerged as the winner of this very competitive competition. Cunnigar Pitch and Putt Club is very appreciative of the involvement of Graham Nagle (Deise Golf World) in this competition, as sponsorship is vitally important for the advancement of our Juvenile game.

Juvenile Competition Winner, June 18th

The first Juvenile competition of the year took place last Tuesday, June 18^th. The winner was Aidan Ryan who narrowly beat Stephen Donovan for first place. For the duration of the Summer, our Juvenile Competitions will take place every Wednesday at 1pm. These competitions will cater for players of all standards and will be an ideal way for beginners to experience competitive pitch and putt without being overwhelmed by the more seasoned players. There are plenty of prizes to be won for all competitors, so all juvenile members are encouraged to take part in these competitions every Wednesday.

The dates for the major Juvenile Championships are fast approaching, as well as our own club competitions. Now is the time to start getting the practice done. It is also hoped to have a Waterford Intercounty team this year, so it should be an exciting summer for juvenile players of all standards.

There is now a designated notice board in the clubhouse with the sole purpose of displaying information (fixtures, events, etc.) for Juvenile members, so have a look next time you enter the clubhouse.

Juvenile Pitch and Putt

 

This year promises to be a very exciting year in Juvenile pitch and putt, so all interested girls and boys are encouraged to submit their membership applications as soon as possible, and have a great year playing our sport. The course will be open for green fees during the Easter Holidays. Leave the X-box and Playstation alone on the fine days, get the clubs out, and come down to us for a game!

TF McCarthy Memorial Juvenile Trophy

This competition was held on Tuesday, November 1st. The juvenile club members took part in a shoot-out competition for the trophy. He might not have been the biggest competitor, but "The Mighty" Kyle Hackett proved to be the best on the day. Congratulations, Kyle!

 Anyone interested in playing in teams representing their school(s) should come along to the club on Wednesday Sept.8th at 6.30 sharp, where trials will take place.

A fee of €3 will by payable by non-members, for insurance purposes.
