Ladies National Social Day

This competiton was held in St Bridgets, Kildare on the 12th April.

Stella Kinsella from the Cunnigar was on the winning team.

This event has become very popular and with 108 ladies taking part Stella did the club proud with her team scoring 19 under.

Another success for Aiden O'Rourke

Aiden O'Rourke had another fine victory in the Pfizer Scratch Cup which was held last Sunday, April 10th, in Cork. Aiden is going from strength to strength this year and we wish him continued success.

John Charles takes second place in Youghal

Congratulations to John Charles who was just pipped for 1st place in the Claycastle Junior Scratch Cup which took place in Youghal last Sunday, March 27th.
Better luck next time, John!

Bridget Walsh just loses out in play-off at Seniors Strokeplay Championships

Ladies All-Ireland Seniors Strokeplay Championship 2010

These championships were held at Lakeside, Co Tipperary, on Saturday last, September 18th.

The Junior section resulted in a tie between Bridget Walsh (Cunnigar) and Nora

Tierney (Prosperous), both of whom carded the same score. The 9 hole play-off

between Nora and Bridget proved to be a close affair with no more than a couple

of shots separating the players over the first seven holes as Nora led all through.

Over holes 8 and 9 Bridget hauled back the lead and they were all square after the

first 9. On the first sudden death hole Nora grabbed the initiative to emerge

victorious. This was a magnificent display of pitch and putt by

Bridget, who must consider herself so unlucky

not to have come away with a major National title.

Waterford United Supporters Club Pitch and Putt Classic Results

The 5th annual Blues Supporters Club Pitch & Putt Classic took place on Saturday and Sunday, August 14th and 15th at Cunnigar.

The weather was ideal for the weekend and all the competitors enjoyed the challenge of the Championship course.

Gross Winners: Robbie Walker, Ian Flynn and Billy Aspel. This was the third time in a row for this Tramore team to win the event.

Nett Winners: Martin Hayes, Aidan O’Rourke, Dean Moroney
