Munster junior Strokeplay and Ladies and Gents inter counties 2022

MUNSTER JUVENILE STROKEPLAY AND MUNSTER INTER-COUNTIES COMPETITION

These competitions were held on a brilliant sunny weekend

On Friday it was great to see all the Juveniles playing, there was some incredible play and scores to be had. Both of the singles games went to a play off, with kerry winning the Munster Inter-county title.

Cunnigars Rory Mulcahy played well and was unlucky not to be in the running for a medal but he did himself and the club proud, well done Rory.

On Saturday the Waterford Gents Junior Inter-County team of Dylan Moroney, Paddy Noonan, Liam Hansbury, Finbarr O'Rourke, Paul Lawrence and Maurice Hennerbry were out but after playing great games were not in the winners group.

We had 2  Waterford Ladies teams who played after the gents, and the team of Lorraine Troy, Corinne Mcgee, Jacinta O'Mahoney and Evelynn Torrens won 2nd Nett with all Ladies playing their part in the team.  Unfortunately the team of Cait Mulcahy, Stella Kinsella, Kathleen Foran and Bridget Walsh were a few shots behind the winners.

Sunday 7th August saw the Gents Intermediate team of Keith Power, Aiden O'Rourke, John O'Shea, Stephen Donovan, Owen Tubbritt and Ronan Hogan play in blistering heat and when the Scotch Foursomes were finished there was only 1 shot between Waterford and Cork but once  the singles was over Cork were the winners of 2022.

The Senior team of John Sloane, Robbie  Walker, Brian Farrell  Ian Flynn, Danny Sullivan and Eddie Hennessey followed with great performances in the  mid day heat but a medal was not meant to be for this year.

To everyone who played be proud of yourselves you did your County and clubs proud
