The excitement from the
recent overwhelming success of the Cunnigar Ladies Open has barely had a chance
to subside, when once again the palpable anticipation is attaining crescendo
levels as we await the arrival to Dungarvan of the top Ladies players in
Munster on Sunday. Our club has the honour of hosting the 2013 Ladies Munster
Strokeplay Championships on July 14th. Our club will be well represented in the
Intermediate and Junior grades and with some of the Ladies enjoying recent
success at the Munster Matchplay, various scratch cups, opens, etc., the likelihood
is that one or more of the Championship winners will be from the Cunnigar club.
Everything is in place for this weekend’s competitions, and the whole event
promises to be another resounding success.
Practice for this event is
available all week until Saturday at 1pm, when the course will close for final
course preparations.
Next Sunday also, three of
our members will be taking part in the Gents Munster Strokeplay Championships
at Larkspur Park Pitch and Putt Club, Cashel.
The Cunnigar Club extends the best of luck to all the club
members who are competing in Sunday's Championships, both in Dungarvan and in
Cashel.
